Space Bag

Too much stuff not enough space? Too much stuff not enough space? Packing for the move to Mexico...

I need to fit all of my clothes, bedding, and knick knack brick-a-bracks into 3 suitcases and one large back-pack. I still don't know how much they charge in Tijuana to take extra bags on the plane, but I am hoping they will just charge me for three extra bags and let me take 'em all with me. This means I need to down size, big time.

I decided to start with my clothes and after cleaning out my closet, donating a huge garbage bag full of clothes to the VFW, and selling a bunch of stuff back to RAGS I realized that I have a ton of stuff. Clothing that I absolutely cannot part with. Then I remembered something I saw on TV...plastic vacuum bags that make your stuff smaller...SPACE BAGS!!!

Nicole and I ordered the deluxe upgraded package and I cannot wait for them to arrive. The website is creepy and hilarous it's spacebag.com. Now that I have been talking about the excitement of my spacebag purchase I realized they are pretty popular. I can even buy extras at Bed Bath and Beyond...

The Beginning

It's really happening...it's 2010 and I am moving to Guanajuato, Mexico. I told my sister, my Dad, my boss, and my Mom. What a relief, it did not feel real until I told my Mom. There is so much to do before I go, but if I start now I know I will head to Mexico fully prepared. First, pay off my credit card debt! I am really close and put myself on a 9 month plan that I started in September. I am kicking ass. Then I need to defer my student loans...I heard that this is easy. Getting rid of my car lease is the most daunting. They make it sound easy online, but who knows until I really try. Finally, I need to get rid of all my stuff. Luckily, I sold all my things before I moved to San Diego, and never really accumlated anything I can't part with or replace since I've been here. I already started organizing. I have keep, donate, and toss piles because let's face it I'm and organizer.
